The client approached me with the need to set up a Google Ads campaign for his website on the Prom.ua platform, which sold budget cosmetics and skincare products. He wanted to change contractors because the previous one had failed to achieve satisfactory results, and the average cost per potential customer exceeded the established KPI.
Strategy and Implementation:
1. Rethinking the Advertising Strategy: Having gained access to the client's account, I identified several critical errors in the approach to setting up Google AdWords and Google Merchant. Specifically, the search campaign was too focused on expenses without effective optimization, and the Google Shopping campaign was not generating enough conversions due to improperly chosen settings and target audience.
2. New Advertising Campaign Strategy: I focused on optimizing existing campaigns and implementing Performance Max, which allowed maximizing conversions with minimal investment. This involved turning off ineffective campaigns and focusing on those that delivered the best results.
Results and Optimization: In the first two months of cooperation, we achieved significant success. Overall, there were 11,559 clicks with an average cost of $0.03 (1.78 UAH) per click. The budget was $516 (20,578 UAH), and the average cost per conversion was $1.08 (43.79 UAH), which was 2.5 times lower than the previous contractor. I not only reached a KPI of $1.25 (50 UAH) per order but also identified new sources of customer flow. We continue to work on increasing the number of purchases at a similar price.
