Development of an online store on WordPress + WooCommerce (custom theme, individual design, multilingual, SEO)
Project: a full-fledged online store from scratch for selling approximately 30 products, with a custom design, responsive layout, integration with Nova Poshta, multilingual support (UA/EN), and SEO optimization.
What has been implemented:
• Developed a unique WordPress theme from scratch, without using ready-made templates. To ensure high site speed, flexibility, and clean code.
• The site consists of two main (third by default) pages with anchor navigation (home + services (+ checkout)).
• The layout is responsive — the site looks equally good on a computer, tablet, and mobile phone. Retina display support has been implemented.
• All code complies with W3C standards. Utilized PHP, HTML, CSS, JavaScript.
• Integrated delivery via Nova Poshta API. Users can choose: branch, parcel locker, or courier delivery.
• Added dynamic text and photo change for products when selecting options (without page reload).
• Implemented multilingual support: the site is available in Ukrainian and English.
• For SEO, a custom plugin was developed that allows setting Title, Meta Description, and Meta Keywords separately for each language and page.
• After placing an order, data is automatically sent to Google Sheets. Contact form submissions are also sent to Google Sheets.
• Added video playback on the site via JS player.
• Implemented light animations of products and site elements to improve visual perception.
Result: a fast, lightweight, responsive, and user-friendly site with all necessary features for effective online sales.
