OpenCart Migration + Structure and SEO

Online store for scale modeling products: assembly scale models (aviation, cars, armored vehicles, ships, figures), paints, modeling chemicals, tools, photo-etching, decals. Role: SEO consultant and project coordinator for updates.

Task: The outdated OpenCart needed to be upgraded to the current version while preserving SEO and maintaining a user-friendly catalog structure.

What has been done:

– Audit of the existing store on the outdated OpenCart version
– Selection and engagement of a specialized developer, coordination of work
– Joint development of a new catalog structure: deep category hierarchy (model type → brand → scale, for example, 1/72, 1/48, 1/35)
– Migration to the current version of OpenCart with a new theme
– Selection and configuration of necessary modules and plugins for the store's functionality
– Preservation of SEO during the migration: URL structure, redirects, metadata
– Basic SEO optimization: SEO-friendly URLs, titles, category descriptions, key niche queries
– Bilingual store (Ukrainian / Russian)
