Pomegranate Charm — wine label
"Pomegranate Charm" — a concept for a wine label and logo inspired by the visual poetics of the film "The Color of Pomegranates" (dir. Sergei Parajanov).
The main idea is to convey the combination of time, culture, art, and passion, which is felt both in the film and in the symbol of the pomegranate itself.
The logo is designed in the shape of an hourglass made of two stylized pomegranates hanging on branches. They symbolize the flow of time, the fragility of human feelings, and ambiguity — life and wine, blood and poetry.
The label design combines:
— Classic graphics in the style of Armenian manuscripts
— Concise typography that does not overshadow the visual language
— A background that mimics the texture of old paper, adding historical depth
The layout uses dark pomegranate shades, ornamental elements, and minimalist symbols. All of this creates an atmosphere of intimacy and artistry characteristic of Parajanov's films.
This project is not just a label but an attempt to tell a story about memory, taste, and art through visual language.
