Premium retouching of dessert: from technical shot to advertising image

This is an example of how I work with a product from start to finish. Photography and retouching are my job. The "before/after" example shows how a technical shot on the desktop turns into an image for an expensive brand.

What exactly I did:
- Shooting: I set the light to highlight the shape of the dessert and the texture of the "velvet."
- Background replacement: I removed everything unnecessary from the frame, added a deep background and smoke for atmosphere.
- Working with details: I cleaned every speck on the cake and brought the golden decor to a perfect shine (removed dirt and excess glare).
- Textures and volume: Through Dodge & Burn, I painted the volume so that the dessert looked not flat, but as realistic and luxurious as possible.

Such processing is needed where it is important to sell not just food, but aesthetics and status.
