Redesign of the "Multicart" system
Shopping is rarely a solitary affair, yet most E-commerce platforms ignore this fact. I accepted the challenge of redesigning the Rozetka cart to implement the possibility of shared shopping. My goal is to transform the "personal" experience into a "shared" one, addressing the real pain points of millions of users.
1. Family Shopping (Holidays and Household)
Problem: Coordinating gifts or products through different accounts leads to duplicate items or forgotten positions.
Solution: "My Family" feature. The user invites relatives, each adds items to their cart and shares them with the "head of the family," who makes a single final payment.
2. Corporate Purchases (Business Efficiency)
Problem: Companies spend hours manually collecting requests from different departments for office supplies or equipment.
Solution: A workflow where department heads fill individual carts, which automatically form a central "Multi-Cart" for the purchasing manager. This gives the manager complete statistics, the ability to edit, and quick payment for the entire order.
3. Group Orders (Events and Friends)
Problem: Organizing a party with friends requires gathering wishes without sharing login credentials and passwords from accounts.
Solution: "Share Cart" feature. After forming the list of items, the user simply sends the ID of their cart to the coordinator, who combines it into a common cart for centralized payment.
The transition from "My Cart" to "Our Cart" is a powerful way to scale the business by meeting human needs. My priority was to make these complex collaborative features a natural addition to the existing interface.
