Speech on the Radio of Malta

I want to note that I was invited to the radio, along with a local volunteer who helps the Ukrainians to give an interview-thanking to the Maltese, the text I needed to prepare the same.

When I found out that Charles was invited to the radio, I was happy for him.But when he said, “You would come with me!I felt my knees buckle, even though I was sitting in the car.For me, this is the first experience to visit a radio station and being represented by many Ukrainians.“It’s okay to worry,” I repeated many times to myself!Please understand and accept my feelings.But it won’t be an Oscar speech!You know
There is no red carpet here, but there is a problem with a red color, color of blood, fears and injustice, that’s why we are here.There is a war in our country, in our country.We are not running away from a better life, we want to be safe: to be born, to love, to study, to work, to enjoy our lives...
Malta is not only a beautiful island, but wonderful people with open minds and big hearts.Malta gave us the opportunity to feel the care from the Maltese people, so... I wanted to thank the Maltese people so much for your donations for helping us Ukrainian refugees stay in Malta.I would like to thank Charles too.and D., my host and his assistant M. too!Thank you so much all of you.
