Setting up contextual advertising and resolving indexing issues
The client is the Zippy.com.ua project, an open-source program for inventory management aimed at small businesses in Ukraine. The main task was to set up search advertising in Google Ads, avoiding mentions of the product's free nature, which previously caused the ads to fail moderation. It was also necessary to organize the site's indexing and optimize analytics for accurate tracking of results.
The work began with an audit of the keywords provided by the client. They were grouped and used to create two search campaigns: a narrow-focused one based on the client's keywords and a broad one for testing new queries. The ads emphasized the product's advantages, such as "alternative to 1C" and "online inventory management." The CTR of the first campaign reached 5.4%.
A check of Google Analytics was conducted, revealing duplicate accounts that could distort the data. Analytics was optimized, and UTM tags were set up to track traffic sources. To address indexing issues, a re-launch was initiated, and recommendations were prepared for programmers to remove mentions of "free" in the titles and descriptions of the pages.
As a result, the advertising began to yield initial results, some ads were restored after appeals, and the site's indexing is gradually being adjusted. The client was satisfied with the collaboration, noting the professionalism of the work performed and effective communication.
