Van De Fee Website
Key Responsibilities and Process:
Research and Goal Definition:
I started by analyzing the target audience – customers who appreciate high-quality coffee and homemade pastries. This helped define design decisions.
I also studied competitive websites to see the best practices and trends in the coffee shop and pastry industry, allowing us to stand out with a unique and engaging experience.
Customer Journey Mapping (CJM):
I created a customer journey map, identifying key interaction points such as browsing the menu, placing orders, and learning about the café’s history. The goal was to make navigation simple and intuitive.
Empathetic Design:
I focused on developing a design that would convey the warmth and coziness of the café, using soft colors, inviting fonts, and large, high-quality images of the products.
I ensured the site’s responsiveness, optimizing the design for both desktop and mobile devices so users could enjoy the same convenient interface on any device.
Menu Display and Content Strategy:
I carefully worked on the menu section design, making it easy to browse and explore the variety of desserts and drinks. Clear, concise descriptions and beautiful visuals were key to conveying the quality and craftsmanship of the offerings.
The Our Story section was designed to reflect the brand’s dedication to excellence, sustainability, and creating an environment where people could relax and enjoy their time.
Prototyping and Testing:
Using tools like Figma, I created interactive prototypes and conducted usability testing with real users. This helped identify potential issues and refine the design before the launch.
Final Launch and Adjustments:
After gathering feedback from testing, I made final adjustments to ensure the site was user-friendly and aligned with the Van De Fee brand identity.
Result:
As a result, we launched a website that not only showcases Van De Fee’s unique offerings but also provides a pleasant, user-friendly experience for visitors. Users can easily browse the menu, place orders, and learn about the café’s story while enjoying a design that radiates warmth, quality, and comfort—just like the experience in the café itself.
This was an inspiring project that allowed me to combine user-centered design principles with creativity and empathy, providing a polished and engaging experience for all visitors.
