1. Objective of the task
It is necessary to prepare a professional file package for architects, interior designers, BIM specialists, installation companies, and designers in the UK market.
The files should allow professionals to quickly insert our heaters into architectural projects, interior visualizations, BIM models, installation drawings, and specifications.
Main outcome: a ready package of technical files for placement on the Kamin website in the Downloads/Architects & Designers/BIM&CAD Files section.
2. Product
Modeling object:
Kamin ceramic infrared / hybrid ceramic heaters - wall-mounted ceramic electric heaters, including models with towel drying.
The freelancer must prepare files for each model from the range that will be provided by the client.

3. Required file formats
The freelancer must prepare the following formats:
3.1. PDF Product Dimensions Sheet
A separate PDF file with technical information is required for each model.
The file must include:
model name;
power;
dimensions in mm;
weight;
IP rating;
mounting type;
mounting points;
distances between mounting holes;
recommended clearances from the floor, walls, furniture, and other objects;
cable exit location;
connection option: plug-in/hardwired/fused spur;
front view;
side view;
top view;
wall mounting diagram;
notes for the installer;
Kamin logo;
website;
QR code to product page or download page.
Page format: A4 horizontal or A4 vertical, depending on the convenience of displaying drawings.
Units of measurement: millimetres/mm.
Language: English, as the files are intended for the UK market.
3.2. DWG Files
2D AutoCAD DWG drawings are required for each model.
Requirements:
format: .dwg;
file version: preferably AutoCAD 2013/2018 compatible;
scale in Model Space: 1:1;
units of measurement: millimetres;
the drawing must be clean, without unnecessary objects;
all lines must be on the correct layers;
all dimensions must be readable;
the file must open without errors in AutoCAD, DraftSight, BricsCAD, and other CAD programs.

3.3. DXF Files
A separate DXF file must be exported for each model.
Requirements:
DXF must fully correspond to DWG;
all layers must be preserved;
dimensions must be preserved;
the file must open in AutoCAD, SketchUp, Fusion, BricsCAD, and other programs;
scale must remain 1:1;
units of measurement: mm.
DXF is needed as a universal compatibility format, so it should not contain complex elements that may not open correctly in other programs.
3.4. Revit Families - RFA
A Revit Family RFA must be prepared for each model or the entire range.
It is preferable to create one parametric Revit Family where different types of heaters can be selected.
Format:
.rfa;
Revit version: preferably Revit 2020/2021 compatible or another version by agreement;
category: preferably Mechanical Equipment or Specialty Equipment – to be agreed before starting;
units of measurement: mm;
the object must be lightweight, without excessive detailing;
the model must display correctly in plan view, elevation, section, and 3D view.

The visual Revit Family must show:
body;

indicative thickness of the product;
mounting points;
towel rail for applicable models;
clearance zone, preferably as a separate visibility parameter;
cable exit, preferably as a separate visibility parameter.
Important: The BIM model must be technically useful but not too heavy. There is no need to create small screws, internal elements, heating wires, and excessive detailing.
3.5. IFC Files
A .ifc file must be prepared for each model.
Requirements:
format: .ifc;
preferably IFC2x3 and/or IFC4;
units of measurement: mm;
the object must open correctly in BIM viewers;
geometry must be clean;
parameters must be exported from Revit or another BIM system;
IFC must contain the main products of ownership.
IFC must include:
manufacturer;
model;
dimensions;
power;
IP rating;
mounting type;
product URL;
warranty;
classification, if possible;
material / finish.
IFC is needed for architects and designers who work not in Revit but in Archicad, Vectorworks, Bentley, Solibri, BIMcollab, Navisworks, and other systems.
3.6. SketchUp Models - SKP
A separate .skp file is required for each model.
Target audience:
interior designers, bathroom designers, kitchen designers, showrooms, visualisers.
Requirements:
format: .skp;
model in real scale;
units of measurement: mm;
the object must be grouped as a component;
the component name must include the model and size;
the front ceramic surface must have material/texture;
there must be color options or separate files by colors;
the model must be lightweight;
do not use excessively heavy geometry;
the model must correctly insert into interior scenes.
For each model, it is preferable to prepare 4 finish options:
White Marble;
Beige Marble;
Grey Stone;
Graphite/Black Stone.
It is possible to create:
a separate .skp file for each color;
or
one .skp file with several materials inside.
The freelancer must suggest the most convenient option.
4. Additional 3D formats
It is preferable to additionally export:

These formats are not a top priority but will be useful for marketing, the website, 3D presentations, and designers.
