We have built most of our systems on open-source technologies. We use Linux, PHP, Ruby on Rails, MySQL, Apache, Nginx and more (you can even help us figure out what else!).

Job Description

• Provide support for mission-critical database systems.
• Perform installations, upgrades, and apply patches to databases running on Linux/Unix platforms.
•  Implementation and management of database objects including data files, tables, indexes, triggers, integrity constraints, materialized views, jobs, and database roles/permissions.
•  Extensive performance tuning against mission-critical databases using native monitoring and troubleshooting tools.
• Design and implement operational automation using scripts.
• Design database performance specifications, database backup, and recovery plans, and database performance/capacity models including server capacity plans.

Qualifications

Qualifications: 

•    Min 5 years work experience with production support and maintenance as a MySQL or MariaDB DBA version 5.1 - 8.0 (5.1 - 10.5)
•     MySQL backup and recover
•     MySQL replication and clustering technologies
•     MySQL performance troubleshooting and optimization
•     MySQL monitoring requirements
•     MySQL migrations
•     MySQL upgrades
•     MySQL disaster recovery
•     Advanced Unix-like systems troubleshooting skills
•     Excellent technical documentation skills
•     Docker knowledge desirable
