- Provide support for mission-critical database systems.
- Perform installations, upgrades, and apply patches to databases running on Linux/Unix platforms.
- Implementation and management of database objects including data files, tables, indexes, triggers, integrity constraints, materialized views, jobs, and database roles/permissions.
- Extensive performance tuning against mission-critical databases using native monitoring and troubleshooting tools.
- Design and implement operational automation using scripts.
- Design database performance specifications, database backup, and recovery plans, and database performance/capacity models including server capacity plans.
Qualifications
Qualifications:
- Min 5 years work experience with production support and maintenance as a MySQL or MariaDB DBA version 5.1 - 8.0 (5.1 - 10.5)
- MySQL backup and recover
- MySQL replication and clustering technologies
- MySQL performance troubleshooting and optimization
- MySQL monitoring requirements
- MySQL migrations
- MySQL upgrades
- MySQL disaster recovery
- Advanced Unix-like systems troubleshooting skills
- Excellent technical documentation skills
- Docker knowledge desirable
