Rhinoceros Modeler / Artist for Yacht Project

3D моделювання та візуалізація, Предметний дизайн — неправильно зазначені категорії?

For an upcoming project ( may be more in future ) I am searching a freelancer with experience in Rhinoceros NURBS Modeller. Main part will be to model in 3D what an artist is sketching and manage lighting and nice renderings. Examples are appended. The freelancer should be able to visualize fast in form of hand sketches which bring together ideas and thoughts how the product should look. The 3d modelling of these is just a second step.

For example: we know seats or furnitures we like and we don't like. The artist should be helpful in finding new shapes / designs according to the given ( sometimes negative examples )

Or to mix two given different styles together to a new design.

The project itself will start after christmas next year. Please state your hourly fee in you application, as this will be ongoing work.

! Basic to mid-level english is needed !

Advantages:

- skills for making hand drawings, to visualize Ideas which are not yet existing

- any past work with furnitures or cars / aircrafts / boats.

- located in Lviv

Because it is more common then DelftShip or MaxSurf . Or do you suggest an alternative NURBS freeform modeller?

The machine engineering will be done in SolidWorks. But for freeform surfaces SW is crap.

for example. Maya working good with nurbs as well.
by the way, may i know what's the purposes of the model you want to get: factory production or visualization only?

Factory production. I have been working since 15 years with Delftship - Rhinoceros - SolidWorks in producing yachts. Thats why I don't want to change the system, but I will have a look

now it becomes clear. then you really need soft for modeling+calculations.

Yes. Hull Design ( hand hydrostatics ) are done in Delftship, Deck ( 3d curved ) and a bit more in Rhinoceros ( and the rest what is more or less straight in SolidWorks, Piping, Electric, etc.

IMHO, you're choosing wrong categories: as you need engineers for projects like this, you should choose Engineering (Инжиниринг) among categories.

Engineers I have, I need someone who is more artist then engineer. Someone who has the skill to make hand sketches and model something, which is only described by words. For example we have a rough imagination, how it should look like, then we collecting examples, discussing what is good and what bad and then the artist should be able to visualize it. I am working together with a professional artist who has good reputation at companies like Porsche or Brabus in Switzerland, but he takes 200$ per hour ;-)

Best would be for free :-)
No, I am not searching the cheapest rates.
Good work has to be paid. But everyone is free to give an example of his work and give a quote.
