Device Description 

Device for producing accessories (protective film) for various types of mobile devices right at the point of sale. 

Main consumer – buyer of mobile devices.

Placement location is network electronics stores.

Types of coatings – up to 30 types of film (transparent screen protection, decorative textured films for protecting the back cover).

The device has been used in one of the networks for over 1 year, the goal of the current work is to present the service (device) to another network.

New Version of the Device

A prototype of the new version has been prepared, which among other things involves the use of a tablet (instead of a PC), as a result, a new version of the software has been prepared and tested.

Description of the Target Result

Requirement: use on touch screen

The planned program tab – one.  The tabs “plotter” and “information” are combined and will be implemented through the “settings” icon.

The main program tab on different pages will contain a “device tree” and two action buttons – “test” and “cut”.

Control elements are large considering the work with the touch screen.

All pages have a text search bar implemented.

The interface is used by service center specialists or salespeople. There is a possibility of showing consumers the “pictures” of the device.

Main Tab Pages by Levels:

* “tiles” - conditionally marked interactive elements of the interface.

  • Level 1 - On the first screen, there are 3 tiles – “Smartphones”, “Tablets”, and “Smartwatches”.
  • Level 2 - The next screen opens after selecting one of the elements from the first screen and contains tiles with brand names, for example, Apple, Samsung…

On each screen, due to the small size, there are 4-8 tiles,

Scrolling is implemented by flipping the page (not the list).

The number of pages depends on the number of manufacturers.

  • Level 3 - The third depth page is implemented similarly to the previous one and contains models of devices from a specific manufacturer - iPhone X.
  • Level 4 - After selecting a device, the user lands on the device page with its image, this page also contains:
  • selection of the template – front side/back cover, when selected, an animated image of the cutting process appears (option).
  • TEST button.
  • CUT button.
  • selection windows (slider can be used) for cutting parameters by force and by the number of repetitions.



Task

Create a design in .psd format with mandatory highlighting of elements by layers. For each “active” element, images must be prepared for each of its active states (for example, the “cut” button - in passive state, activated (pressed) state, transition between states, etc.)

Composition of elements:

  • design of the frame and fill of the external window, borders of internal windows.
  • drawing tiles on the first page (Phones, Tablets, Smartwatches).
  • template for designing pages of levels 3 and 4 – so that in the tile elements (icons) of the selection element, it is enough to write the name.
  • positioning of the window with the device image on the level 3 page.
  • positioning of the template selection windows, device image, and animation window, as well as design of menu elements on the template cutting page (level 4). Menu elements – “Test” button, “Cut” button, menu for selecting cutting parameters.
  • Requirements for styles and elements for transitions between pages and menu items.


Additionally.

the use of modern styles (material, flat, etc.) is welcomed and the possibility of using design elements and overall style in the design of the landing page.

There is a final addition to the task that arose during the discussion of the presented works - please create a version of "4 screens" (working screen with the "cut" button) without using photographic images.
