Plot of the music video:
This story is a symbolic sketch about the complicated relationship of our heroes (the band's frontman Alexander and actress Anisia). In it, we will play with space and time, trying to focus on the visual component.
The studio story with the musicians will be connected with the other locations and lines through the projection of materials filmed with the main heroine onto one of the studio walls. Besides being an interesting montage transition, it will also add the necessary dramaturgy: it will create the feeling that everything we see next is either the main character's memories, or his fantasies, or maybe just a dream.
Everything starts right here: on the projection screen we see our heroine on the beach. She stands with her back to us, facing the water - the camera slowly approaches. And at this moment we transition in the montage "through" the projection to her on the beach. The heroine notices us. The story begins.
Everything unfolds in several locations:
The key one is THE BEACH - a kind of "happy place" for the main character, a place he constantly thinks about and strives to reach; we never fully let the viewer understand whether it is reality or one of his dreams. It is here that we learn and reveal our heroine. This is a deserted location, where until the very end we see only her with a kite. She seems to flirt with us, sometimes moving away, sometimes coming very close to the camera. At the very beginning, we try to study her better, focusing on the details: the fabric of her clothes fluttering in the wind, her hair, eyes, smile. All of this we see in dynamic montage. At the first chorus, she launches the kite for the first time, running along the deserted beach. The kite is a symbol of her elusiveness; she seems to always be so close, yet at the same time somewhere up in the clouds. It also nicely reinforces the song's lyrics: "so let us spread our wings and fly...".
The second location is THE FOREST. Initially, we only see Alexander here. He wanders in search, as if looking for a way out (while singing). Suddenly he notices her. Here our heroine is completely elusive. We barely see her somewhere in the distance among the trees. He follows her. Searches for her with his gaze. To create a surreal atmosphere, the frame will be filled with a green haze (we use colored smoke bombs - besides the artistic effect, it adds depth to the space and saves the picture in case of cloudy weather). One of these colored bombs will be carried by the heroine, thus seemingly paving the way for Alexander. We also plan to use red-and-white barrier tape for artistic purposes, which will be wrapped around the trees in this location. It creates significant obstacles, making the viewer a bit tense, as it primarily associates with criminal scenes.
The guitar solo is one of the most dynamic moments of the song, so it is quite justified that the climax of the story will occur in this part: the main character, finding himself on the beach, notices a kite and behind it - a girl. He finally tries to catch up with her and he succeeds... But it remains a mystery for everyone whether it was real or not.
In the finale, we return to the same projection in the studio of the beach we already know. Only now we pull away from the beach, where only the kite lies on the sand. And we see the main character watching this. The projection cuts off. The song ends.
