Miranda pushed open the massive wooden doors with golden decorations and opened the way to a spherical hall. The high ceiling occupied about two floors, ending with a glass round roof, just like the main tower. The stone floor was polished to a shine, so it could be used as a mirror. To the right were tall windows, behind which was a garden. And to the left, almost from the ceiling, hung banners depicting coats of arms, under which were inscriptions in beautiful, large frames: Quazalit, above the coat of arms in the form of a precious, purple stone. Moaren, under the image of an open book with some strange symbol of crossed letters “Я” – ordinary and inverted. Vayzar, under the banner with the face of an owl. Vitaria, under the drawing of crossed blooming and withered flowers. Opuron, under a gear, behind which were crossed a ruler, a wrench, and a hammer. Artenora, under a coat of arms divided into four parts, on which were painted a note, a brush, a pen, and a bust. All the drawings on the banners resembled a real painting more than just a coat of arms. Under the banners was an amphitheater with comfortable seating, four rows high, where all the students of Elemestarium could be accommodated.

But first of all, the attention of Daterion and Illya was drawn to the exhibit in the center of the hall. Behind a formal enclosure in the form of a red ribbon, there was a sculpture in the shape of a hand that seemed to have broken through the ground. It held a large book with a purple cover and golden binding. On it was an inscription in an unknown language, in the form of a symbol that resembled two letters “E” pointing in different directions. The rays that entered the hall through the stained glass fell precisely on the book from all sides. It is unknown whether this was the architect's intention or just a coincidence – but it undoubtedly gave the overall picture a special grandeur.
