Hello, my name is Nikita. I'm a web developer based in Latvia with hands-on experience in modern frontend and backend technologies, including HTML, CSS/SCSS, JavaScript, TypeScript, React, Next.js, NestJS, Prisma, and cloud services such as AWS Lambda. I also have experience working with CI/CD pipelines and building and deploying production-ready applications.
I have over 1 year of freelance experience, where I worked on real client projects, delivering full-stack features, maintaining existing codebases, and building applications from scratch. This helped me strengthen my communication skills, improve time management, and learn how to adapt quickly to different project requirements and business needs.
Outside of work, I’ve developed several full-stack projects independently. These include a Laravel-based inventory management system with authentication, CRUD operations, and audit logging; a Django application integrated with the Spotify API via OAuth 2.0; and a Vue 3 single-page application using Webpack and SCSS. In addition, I’ve worked on backend APIs using NestJS and Prisma, and deployed serverless functionality using AWS Lambda as part of CI/CD workflows.
Working across both frontend and backend helps me understand the full product lifecycle, which improves collaboration with designers, backend engineers, and stakeholders, and reduces friction between different parts of a system.
I care about writing clean, maintainable code and building interfaces that are reliable and user-friendly. I’m comfortable working in Git-based team environments and I’m particularly interested in contributing to scalable systems and open-source projects such as a living style guide like Vanilla Framework.
