Looking for a reliable 3D modeler / CAD designer for regular, long-term work (piece rate payment for each completed file).
The main task is to convert "dirty" client layouts, low-quality raster images, logos, or "pixelated" STL files (obtained through auto-tracing) into clean, smooth geometry for further milling on a CNC router.
The software you use does not matter (Blender, ZBrush, Fusion 360, ArtCAM, SolidWorks, etc.). The main thing is a quality output. I open and finalize projects in my Vectric Aspire.
What you will need to do:
Smoothing and retouching 3D models (STL): Cleaning models from pixel noise, steps, and bumps. You need to align and smooth surfaces (for example, elements of weapons, swords, chains, chevrons, bas-reliefs), while maintaining the clarity of important edges.
Quality vector tracing (2.5D): Converting images/logos into clean vectors without a million unnecessary points (nodes) for smooth cutting and engraving.
Export to universal formats: The result must be provided in STL / OBJ formats (for 3D) or DXF / SVG (for 2D/2.5D contours).
Our requirements for models:
The geometry must be optimized for milling (minimum microscopic recesses where the tool cannot physically fit).
No holes in the mesh (manifold mesh), adequate polygon density (no giant files for no reason).
How the work will be structured:
I send you the client's input data (an image or a curved STL) ➡️ You give a quick estimate regarding the cost and deadlines.
We agree on the budget ➡️ You create a clean model and send me the STL or vector.
I import the file into Aspire myself, set up the trajectories, and run it on the machine.
In your response, please indicate:
What software you usually model/sculpt in.
Examples of your work (preferably screenshots of the mesh or finished 3D models/bas-reliefs).
An approximate cost and time for smoothing and aligning an average 3D logo (for example, a shield with a sword and chain, size $20 \times 20\text{ cm}$).
