one. customer uncertainty. The customer constantly wants to fix something, despite the fact that a completely different stage is being carried out, this was certainly confusing and did not allow to concentrate. Sometimes the customer himself did not understand what he wanted.
2. The customer has no idea how 3D and animation works, this leads to the absence of everything: specifics, models, textures, and even a gradient color map (instead of specifying specific colors in the form of a hexadecimal code, they sent me screenshots with a huge number of garbage colors)
3. Price for services. The final amount does not change from the number of edits and changes in the conditions for the implementation of the project. I mean Rik Oostenbroek, this man is known all over the world, he has many collaborations with Adobe and I quote "This work was designed and developed in partnership with Rik Oostenbroek from the Netherlands. The combination of its design, animation assistance from GRFX in New York and our Octane Render know-how made it a great addition to the new lobby at the AON Center in Chicago." Original - https://vimeo.com/247027853?embedded=true&source=video_title&owner=3137016 . And here is the price list for his creations https://opensea.io/collection/arcus-rik . And you wanted me to repeat the unique style to which a person has been going all his life, for 53 bucks and get the "ideal" ?! Plus CINEMA 4D subscriptions are $103/month and REDSHIFT 46, and they only work locally and only on NVIDIA graphics cards with CUDA 5.0 computing support and at least 8 GB of VRAM, the lowest price I could find for such a graphics card. $812. All this is not comparable with the price tag of $53.
four. I have more than enough experience in 3D and web design. We closed much more complex projects in two or three days. One of the portfolio of a person from my team with whom I collaborated throughout the implementation of the project: http://lumionfanart.tilda.ws/000016.
5. The jump from one editor to another was not included in the terms of the project, but I decided to repeat the animation, which, according to the customer, was "ideal", but despite this, after demonstrating the first results, ridiculous edits went on, although I immediately said that I could only repeat exactly as I had no early experience with Cinema 4d and Redshift render, moreover, I had to study the features of the editor to make changes to the customer, and after the customer didn’t like everything again, I repeatedly carried out color correction, which was also not included in the terms of the project.
6. I completed the work one hundred out of a hundred, it remains only to render the final version of the animation. I checked the colors on 3 different monitors (one of which is professional) of different types of matrices and color reproduction (ips, tn, and ips of a mobile device) since the animation was developed for the site, I checked it on all devices that could be used by clients, and everywhere I got good colors. You can also color-correct the video yourself, even to infinity.
- Are there really bad matrices on poppy beeches?
7. One more thing, the customer, in my opinion, works in a team and several people whose opinion differs have access to the account, since I received the answer: "I understand that here we choose light and shadow. I'm leaning towards the second and first option from Adobe. probably even the first one is larger, and we will darken it, but the inner part is visible and the form is visible. Probably what we need." After that, ridiculous instructions for correction began again.
eight. This is not a tutorial but a Timelapse: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=X0l-oWJdXrU&t=155s .I recommend the customer only to those who have a computer on steroids and steel nerves.
