Problem Description
I am trying to connect Google BigQuery to Bubble.io through the API connector to retrieve advertising data. The problem is that Bubble does not recognize the columns from BigQuery and perceives them as nested lists (arrays), which makes it impossible to display the data correctly in the application.
What has been done
BigQuery
- A table with advertising data (Google Ads) has been created.
- Queries to BigQuery return the correct result in the form of a table with columns.
- The JSON format in the "Results" tab of BigQuery looks correct (data is presented in a key-value structure).
Bubble API Connector
- The request to BigQuery is configured through the API Connector in Bubble.
- Data is received in response, but Bubble does not perceive it as a table.
- Fields are defined as nested JSON objects, which does not allow selecting individual columns for display in the Bubble UI.
Tasks for the Developer
- Configure the request to BigQuery so that Bubble receives data in the form of structured columns, not nested JSON objects (see the image in the attachment).
- Optimize the SQL query in BigQuery (if necessary) to ensure correct data transmission.
- Configure the API Connector in Bubble so that the data is correctly displayed as individual columns.
- (If necessary) Provide recommendations for the correct API response format in Bubble.
What is required from the performer
- Experience with Bubble API Connector.
- Understanding of working with Google BigQuery and SQL queries.
- Experience in API integration (REST, JSON).
