I use Python and the BeautifulSoup library for parsing HTML. It is great for navigating, searching, and modifying the parse tree. For automating script execution.
I initially tried to use BeautifulSoup, as it has a high speed, but unfortunately, it did not work due to bot protection. I tried to use the cfscrape library to bypass the protection, but that also did not yield results.
Then I turned to Selenium, which allows simulating user behavior in the browser. It works a bit slower than BeautifulSoup, but still did not bring the expected result. After that, I added undetected_chromedriver, and this solution worked—I bypassed the blocking.
I checked the websites you specified in the terms of reference. Some of these sites did not have all the necessary data, so I check if there is a LinkedIn, and if they exist, I check if there is a company website. I also wanted to add an email check: if it ends with .com, I separate everything before "@" and add "https://www.". After that, I check if the server returns a status 200, which means the site is working and can be recorded. But during testing, I noticed that not all links are issued from the site we expect, so I abandoned this idea.
