Build infrastructure for Directus.io
Our current frontend is built on the Softr.io builder. To scale and manage data, we need our own backend/API gateway based on Directus or you can suggest your solution if you have a better and scalable one.
Stage 1. Basic infrastructure
Deploy Directus on our hosting (VPS/VDS).
Connect and configure the database (PostgreSQL/MySQL) at a basic level.
Stage 2. Step-by-step integrations (via API / Webhooks) The logic should be processed on the Directus side. Tasks will be executed sequentially:
Payment initialization:
Softr➔Directus➔Payment system(for example, generating a request to top up the balance).Processing postbacks:
Payment system➔Directus(hash/security verification) ➔Softr(updating the balance).Sending data to FB:

I can build a backend/API gateway on Directus with orchestration between Softr, the payment system, and the Facebook API.
Stage 1 (infrastructure):
— Deploying Directus in Docker on your VPS/VDS (Nginx reverse-proxy, TLS, systemd or docker-compose with auto-start).
— PostgreSQL as the main database with a backup policy (pg_dump → S3/local).
— Basic collections (Users, Balances, Transactions, Events) with policies and roles.
… Stage 2 (integrations — everything on Flows/Custom Endpoints Directus):
— Payment initialization: a custom endpoint in Directus creates a transaction and returns payment_url from the payment system; Softr calls it via webhook.
— Handling postbacks: a separate endpoint with signature/hash validation, idempotent balance update, sending updates to Softr.
— Events → Facebook Conversions API: queue on Directus Flow + retry with expo-backoff.
— Receiving webhooks from FB → updating statuses in the database → sync in Softr.
Tech stack that I use daily: Node.js, PostgreSQL, Docker, Nginx, TypeScript. Experience with HMAC signatures for webhooks, queues, and idempotency in processing.
Estimated: Stage 1 — 3–4 days, Stage 2 — iteratively per integration (each 1–3 days). The amount/timeline below is a starting estimate for Stage 1; final — after a 30-minute call with the payment system list and Softr data structure.
