We agreed on the project late Thursday evening. I clarified the deadlines. Stanislav said that the weekend is approaching, so he will only finish by Tuesday. Okay, we shook hands on that. The official deadline was 7 days (the platform suggested that, I didn't worry about it). On Tuesday, nothing was ready. I wrote on Wednesday, asking how the process was going. Stanislav replied that it would be ready on Thursday. I asked to speed up the process because all our other important processes depend on this project and they are all stalled. Stanislav promised that he would definitely finish everything on Thursday. In the end, he wrote that he was about to finish and… a couple of hours later he wrote that the power went out and the file was most likely lost.
What? A freelancer with many years of experience in the third year of war and without a generator? Uh-huh, we totally believe that. Another point is that Stanislav randomly switched between Ukrainian and Russian in the correspondence. If this is not a split personality, it seems that different people are working under the account. In general, on Saturday the official project deadline expired, and as of Sunday, Stanislav is not even responding to messages, although he is online. Well, what can I say, I hope he is alive and well, but I categorically do not recommend him for collaboration!

I had previously tried to warn the client that I would not be able to complete the project on time and that the administration should return all reserved funds to the client, but something went wrong and the message did not reach them 😔
All funds were returned to the client!
