We always read from the book

One should not rely on their perfect memory. Even experienced readers can stumble on the most well-known prayers, so nothing should be read from memory in the choir.

We read in one tone

Pseudoliterary reading (with expression, conversational intonation) is unacceptable. The Trisagion (as well as the times, six psalms, canon, etc.) should be read approximately in one note.
