Technical Requirements for Outdoor Signage

The designer does not need to design the sign structure. It is necessary to develop only the logo design and the appearance of the sign, which will be handed over to the manufacturer for production.

The sign will be manufactured by a specialized company according to the following parameters:

• Sign type: dimensional standalone letters (Dimensional Letters).
• Material: aluminum (Aluminum).
• Letter thickness: 3/8" (about 9.5 mm).
• Letter height: 12" (about 305 mm).
• Finish: satin black paint (Satin Black).
• Installation: each letter is installed separately on the building facade.
• Mounting surface: stucco wall (stucco wall).
• Mounting method: metal studs (stud mounted).
• Letters can be installed flush to the wall (flush mount) or with a slight setback to create a dimensional effect (standoff mount). The final mounting method is determined by the manufacturer.

Design Requirements

When developing the logo, it is necessary to consider the specifics of manufacturing dimensional aluminum letters.

The logo must:

• look good as separate dimensional letters;
• be easily readable from a distance;
• not contain overly thin lines;
• not contain complex internal elements that are difficult to manufacture;
• not use gradients, shadows, transparencies, and other effects that are impossible when producing dimensional letters;
• be as production-friendly as possible.

The main task is to create a logo that looks expensive and modern specifically as outdoor signage, and not just looks good on a screen.

The design must be adapted for production from dimensional aluminum letters, not for flat printing or light boxes.
