Project: Website design for a foreign language teacher
Project goal:
Create a website that will become:
- a resource with clear information about the language and grammar,
- a platform for selling courses and electronic products,
- a place where visitors can read about me, reviews
Key requirements:
1. An informational section about the language - a blog?
- Gradual addition of topics, structured by categories.
- Search functionality within the information section.
- The initial website language is Russian, with plans to add Norwegian, English, Polish, and Ukrainian in the future.
- All texts must be editable manually to ensure translation quality.
I want the website to be not just a place to buy my courses or read about me,
but also a resource where people come for clear grammar explanations.
Initially, the site will be in Russian, but I plan to add Norwegian, English, Polish, and Ukrainian later.
The grammar/language information section should have a search feature so users can quickly find topics.
Content will be added gradually — topic by topic.
Important:
All texts should be manually editable to ensure high translation quality.
This part of the site will be built up gradually — topic by topic, similar to the structure of bnorsk.no. It is constantly updated, has some structure, but is not very visual and easy to navigate.
2. Website pages
The website should include the following main sections:
- Home page
- About me and reviews (unsure whether together or separate?)
- thematic language information, which I will add
- Courses and products available for purchase (courses, e-books, and other materials) - clicking on products shows all information as a subpage
- Lessons with me
- Contacts
3. Adding courses and products
- Ability to add courses and products independently via an admin panel.
- Each course should have a separate subpage with detailed description.
- Payment for courses and products should be processed through the website.
- Courses are conducted on another platform, but purchase is on my site.
5. Newsletter
- Visitors should be able to subscribe to the newsletter immediately upon visiting the site.
- The subscription should be noticeable but unobtrusive.
6. Links to social media
The site should have direct links to:
- Telegram
- Instagram
- YouTube
- TikTok
- Facebook
Design and style:
- I do not want to spend much money on the site at this stage, as it is already a significant investment for me,
- but it is important to build a proper, easy navigation from the start.
- Example structure — site bnorsk.no.
- Note: I do not like the design of this site, but I appreciate that it has at least a basic structure for the language part.
- As another example of functionality, I consider uroki4mam.ru, but I want to create a cleaner, more modern, and structured design. I like that it has both an informative section and each course has its own subpage. I like the design of this site: https://daria-norway.com/#menu
