Docker compose vs Kubernetes necessary consultation
There is a small product: nuxtjs + laravel
Currently, it works without containers at all, on our rented server.
We have come to the point where we packaged the project into several containers:
- mysql
- php
- nuxtjs
- traefik
Now we want to organize CI / CD and are thinking about the best way to do it:
- we rented a new server and installed docker there
We are wondering if it makes sense to set up kubernetes for a small product
- it seems super cool, reliable, and functional
- it requires a lot of understanding, and then it needs to be maintained, which seems super complicated
We are considering whether it makes sense to take a simpler path and set it up through docker-compose
- it seems not as modern, reliable, and functional
- it seems to have a significantly lower entry/setup and maintenance threshold
