We have a website built on WordPress + WooCommerce + WoodMart. I will provide the link to the store in private messages. This is a clothing store where each color of a product is currently represented as a separate product on the site.

For example, if there is a men's jacket available in black, white, and gray colors – these are three separate products (with the color attribute specified).

‼️ We do not plan to change the approach and make one product with color variations.

What we want:

It is necessary to connect products by colors so that customers can see which other colors are available for the same clothing model. We have screenshots from another website to demonstrate the desired appearance.

Options for display that we considered:

1️⃣ In the general product grid (on the homepage, in categories, in search results):

• All colors are displayed as separate products (for example, three jackets: black, white, gray).

• Each product card should have small circles showing available colors.

• Clicking any circle → opens the corresponding product page for that color.

2️⃣ On the product page:

• There should be a block with other available colors in the form of circles.

• Clicking a circle → opens the product page for the corresponding color.

• For example, on the black jacket page, circles for white and gray colors are displayed (excluding black, which is already open).

3️⃣ In the “Related Products” block (at the bottom of the product page):

• The same logic as in the general product grid should apply.

Our wishes:

✅ Color attributes are already defined, but new colors are also possible. We want to be able to:

• Specify HEX color codes for each attribute (or manually set for each product).

✅ Since each color is a separate product, we need to think about how to connect them:

• Via SKUs?

• Through a separate field indicating available colors (with SKUs or links to them)?

• Any solution that is convenient to work with is suitable for us.

✅ It would be good to have colors in circles automatically sorted by the overall palette. But this is not mandatory, sorting is not necessary.

Additionally:

If there are ready plugins that implement this and you can install them - provide a list. I will pass it to the managers for choosing the suitable option, after which we will agree with you on installation and setup.

I have already implemented similar functionality: when each color of the product is a separate product, but a convenient navigation (for example, "other colors of this model") is added between them without switching to variations. This improves UX and maintains the structure you use.
