Need a PHP developer for refining the company's internal CRM system (USA, medium-sized business in the insurance services and application processing sector). The CRM is used for working with clients, managing applications, generating reports, and calculating discounts/conditions. The system is already in production, specific adjustments and functionality extensions are needed.
Project technologies!
The project is outdated, procedural monolith, without frameworks (no Laravel/Symfony!)
php7, queries through mysqli_ and scattered across files, the code is mixed (html+php+js) located in *.php files
Therefore, it is very important that the performer knows how to deal with this!
What needs to be done:
1) Extension of the client card
Add new fields and blocks to the client profile, namely:
- additional contact details
- history of changes (logging)
- linking to multiple addresses
- additional notes and comments
2) Corrections in the reports module
Currently, reports are generated through SQL queries in HTML tables. It is necessary to:
- add new filters (date, status, manager)
- add new columns to 2 existing reports
- optimize generation (in some cases it works slowly)
3) Redesign of the discount mechanism
There is a discount calculation module (discount rules), currently implemented incorrectly. It is necessary to:
- support multiple types of discounts (fixed amount, %, combination)
- add conditions for application (by client type, amount, date, service category)
- catch bugs and fix them
Requirements for the performer:
- experience working with procedural PHP without frameworks
- confident knowledge of SQL
- understanding how to maintain legacy code without rewriting everything from scratch and stopping the project
- accuracy and attention to detail (because the system is operational)
Work format:
- project for 1-2 weeks (approximately)
- payment for hours worked, as reported by the performer
- possible continuation of cooperation (there will be other modules)
In your response, please write:
- your hourly rate
- whether you have experience working with procedural legacy PHP monoliths
- an example of a similar project (if available)
