Front-end developer with experience in Laravel

The Delivety.com project involves transitioning from the current "order websites" system, which uses OctoberCMS (with the Shopaholic plugin), to a new internal system developed on Laravel. The front-end developer will play a key role in ensuring the preservation or enhancement of the user interface, user experience, and overall site performance during this transition. The project will require close collaboration with back-end developers, designers, and stakeholders to achieve a seamless transition.

Main Responsibilities:

1. Front-end Development:

   • Design, develop, and implement front-end components of the new internal system using HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and Vue.js (or other relevant front-end frameworks).
   • Ensure full responsiveness, mobile-friendliness, and performance optimization of the new system across all devices and browsers.

2. Integration with Laravel:

   • Collaborate with the back-end team for seamless integration of front-end components with the internal system on Laravel.
   • Use Blade (Laravel) to create dynamic and reusable front-end components.

3. Website System Transition:

   • Analyze the existing OctoberCMS system (with the Shopaholic plugin) to understand the current front-end architecture, user flows, and design templates.
   • Plan and execute the migration of front-end assets (HTML, CSS, JavaScript) from OctoberCMS to the new system, ensuring minimal disruption for users.
   • Implement new features and capabilities in the front-end according to the design of the new system.

4. Collaboration with UI/UX Designer:

   • Work closely with UI/UX designers to translate layouts and design templates into high-quality, accessible, and user-friendly front-end code.
   • Provide feedback and suggestions on UI/UX design to enhance user experience during and after the transition.

5. Testing and Bug Fixing:

   • Conduct thorough testing of front-end components in collaboration with QA teams to ensure all aspects of the website function correctly after the transition.
   • Identify and resolve any issues or bugs that arise during the transition process, focusing on both front-end and Laravel-related challenges.

6. Performance Optimization:

   • Optimize front-end code for performance, including minimizing load times, improving site speed, and ensuring efficient resource usage.
   • Implement best practices for SEO and accessibility to maintain or improve search engine rankings and user experience.

7. Documentation and Training:

   • Document all front-end processes, code structure, and integration points with the Laravel system for future reference and maintenance.
   • Provide training materials or knowledge transfer sessions to internal teams regarding the support and updating of the front-end in the new Laravel-based system.

8. Support and Maintenance:

   • Provide post-launch support for monitoring front-end performance, addressing any issues, and making necessary updates or improvements.
   • Collaborate with the development team to plan future enhancements or new features according to the growing needs of Delivety.com.
