Вы лучше опишите, каков конечный замысел. Вы систему скидок пытаетесь так внедрить или еще что? Я это к тому, что возможно решение для вашего случая совсем другое.

Вариантов уже много рассматривалось, но есть проблема, этот проект тестовый для решения небольшого круга задач, короче тут бюджет очень ограничен, задача: Есть каталог, в нем ~300 товаров, каталог подключен через крон и постоянно обновляется, нужно чтобы при достижении определенного уровня корзины покупателем, который не зарегистрирован, товары с каталога становились бесплатными. Решений нашлось 3-4: 1. допилить модуль по спецпредложениям, весь функционал готов, но там проблема в сложности модуля как я понял и разраб. не хочет тратить на это время, то есть и бюджет в теории на допил будет нормальный. 2. Сделать под это отдельный модуль - бюджет не позволяет; 3. Поставить пароль на каталог - вариант из разряда дешево и сердито, но большинстве покупатель женщина среднего возраста, приколы с паролями для каталога будут вызывать проблемы. 4. Есть готовый модуль по скрытию каталога, он открывается для одной группы пользователей и скрывается для другой, для этого нужно чтобы при достижении определенной суммы корзины пользователь перемещается в группу для которой будет виден каталог.
P.S. Да в этой версии есть свои недочеты, но тут главное запустить, возможно сам проект будет не сильно удачным из-за низкого качества продуктов бренда.
P.S.S. За любые варианты буду очень благодарен, если все таки будет какой-то реально отличный вариант по деньги-качество, то бюджет конечно найдется))

Тут не надо модуль. В каждой точке приложения есть уже инфа о состоянии корзины. Так что решение есть и очень простое. Стукните в личку.
