Integration of a ready-made HTML/CSS website
There is a fully ready static website (pure HTML, CSS, JS) for a small online store selling architectural projects.
The site is laid out, the code is clean and well-structured. A block naming system for styles and elements was used (similar to BEM), which should simplify integration with a CMS. The layout is responsive.
It is necessary to "revive" the site by integrating it with a suitable content management system (CMS) for convenient management of products (projects) and pages.
Key tasks and requirements:
Choosing a CMS:
Initially, we considered Grav CMS due to its flexibility and file-based operation.
We are open to your justified suggestions for other CMS.
DO NOT SUGGEST WordPress.
Priority is given to ease of content and product management, flexibility for integrating the existing design, and good performance.
Integration of the layout:
Transfer existing HTML page templates to the templates of the chosen CMS.
Preserve existing styles and scripts. The site should look and function the same as the static version, but with dynamic content from the CMS.
Product management (Architectural projects):
Implement catalog/store functionality for architectural projects.
Critically important: An intuitive and user-friendly admin panel is needed for managing product cards (projects). We have positive experience with WooCommerce, and would like to have a similarly convenient interface for:
Adding/editing projects (title, description, images, characteristics such as area, number of floors, style, price, etc.).
Managing categories/tags of projects.
The ability to set custom fields for project characteristics.
Data Import/Export:
A function for importing and exporting product data (architectural projects) via XML files is required.

238 7 days348 USDConsidering your priority for flexibility, performance, and ease of content management, as well as my experience in creating custom CMS, I propose the development of a custom website management system. This will allow us to maintain the cleanliness and structure of the current layout, as well as implement "turnkey" functionality without redundancy.
Advantages:
Full integration of the existing HTML layout without loss in design and responsiveness.
An intuitive project management admin panel (similar in convenience to WooCommerce).
Flexible project card structure: title, description, images, parameters (area, number of floors, style, price, etc.).
…
Management of categories and tags.
Support for custom features.
Data import/export via XML (import templates can be implemented).
High performance and security without unnecessary load, like ready-made CMS.

Considering the requirements — a user-friendly admin panel, no database binding, template flexibility, and maintaining responsive layout — I would suggest considering Statamic or OctoberCMS. Both solutions are more powerful and convenient for editors than Grav, and are great for customization without unnecessary clutter.
I have experience in "reviving" static websites while preserving all original styles and behaviors, as well as creating user-friendly catalog management systems similar to WooCommerce.
I am ready to propose the project architecture, transfer your layout into CMS templates, and set up the project card structure with expandable features.
If you are interested — write to me. I can briefly outline how this will be implemented.
…
Best regards,
Yuri
