И какое же там количество запросов? Судя по всему, Вы в Joomla разбираетесь, как я в андроидном коллайдере.
Можно и html-страницу с надписью. "Hello, World!" уделать так, что будет 502-я ошибка.
Скорость/тормознутость сайта, определяется не выбором CMS и компонентов под нее, а "пряморукостью" разработчика.
Если не знаете как выполнить работу так, чтобы сайт хотя бы не "замедлился", не говоря об оптимизации - не беритесь за проект вообще.
Да, еще... Сделать сайт на Джумла, WP, Drupal, OpenCart, Presta (нужное подчеркнуть / добавить свой вариант) - это не значит просто "воткнуть" движок и наставить кучу непонятных расширений. -
Я же сказал, что разве что переписывать под себя. Все эти джумла шопы, использут джумклу как недопиленный фреймоврк для магазина.
А по запросам вы посмотрите, и потом утверждайте.
Я говорил о холостой системе. Если же проводить так-званную оптимизацию, то это уже писать костыли, которые потом постоянно нужно учитывать при написании расширений.

Инструмент нужно выбирать под задачу!

Странный Вы человек, кричите "что много запросов", а ответить внятно не можете.
Мне предлагаете посчитать? Так мне оно не нужно, я Вам сразу скажу сколько, потому что работаю именно с этим движком.
На "чистой" Joomla + joomshopping фронт дает 8-12 запросов. Конечно можно все впихнуть в один и ждать когда данные на рендер пойдут, крича при этом: у меня сайт делает 1 запрос.
Фреймворк, магазин, ООП, MCV - эти слова конечно звучат умно, но какое отношение они имеют к Вашим высказываниям? Вы хоть один проект на Joomla сделали? Или как увидели http://docs.joomla.org/ сразу поняли, что это слишком сложно для понимания и такое количество документации вызвано именно тормознутостью движка?
Ваши заявления выглядят как "Linux лучше Windows" или "кефир лучше ряжанки".
Умиляет, когда начинают обсуждать движок с которым в лучшем случае не работают, в худшем что-то в интернете читали. Это как минимум НЕ ПРОФЕССИОНАЛЬНО! -
открою страшную тайну, можно в my.ini прописать лог файл и узнать точно, а не приблизительно))
