Нюансы проекта:
Сам проект написан на базе vamShop v.1, но давно уже перестал быть совместимым с новыми версиями и апдейтами, многое переписано. Архитектура vamShop берёт своё начало ещё с php4 соответственно код не ангельский, примеров паттернов от «банды четырёх» нет. Шаблонизатор smarty, но исключительно для клиентской части, в админке «лапшакод». Местами используется memcache и кеш в файлах. Тесты отсутствуют. Всё это хранится под гитом. Документации нет.
