I am looking for an assistant to create cooking videos for long-term collaboration. The following tasks need to be performed:
- Video editing (example of a finished fragment https://drive.google.com/file/d/1TOd48K3VA4BEvRGZgITMRizD_LBpX-_b/view?usp=drive_link)
- Create text for voiceover using ChatGPT and generate voiceover in elevenlabs (example with voiceover https://drive.google.com/file/d/1Ru69Y1c3fL8TNHY7KQqf2rASh9ictEog/view?usp=drive_link)
- Create subtitles for the videos.
At the initial stage, the workload will be 4–8 videos per month, and possibly more later.
I am ready to offer $50 for 1 video, with a duration of 8 – 8:30 minutes. If the video is longer or shorter, then $6 for 1 minute of finished video.
Further details about each type of work.
1. Video editing.
You will be provided with raw videos, each containing 1-2 actions (for example, adding flour, mixing ingredients, etc.).
Task: cut the necessary fragments, arrange them in the correct sequence according to the recipe.
To simplify the task, the raw files will be numbered and briefly described in the title. I will also provide the recipe and, if necessary, comments.
Additionally, you need to:
- Add captions indicating the name of the ingredient and its quantity.
- Adjust the sound volume of the cooking process - remove sharp or loud sounds.
I edit in Capcut, but we can agree to work in other programs.
It takes me about 30 minutes for 1 minute of finished video.
2. Creating text and generating voiceover.
The voiceover is needed in English, so knowledge of the language at level A2 or higher is required.
I use ChatGPT to create the text.
Typically, the voiceover text contains:
- Step-by-step description of the recipe. Example: Alright, let’s start by mixing half a cup of flour with cocoa, cornstarch, and a pinch of salt.
- Useful information about the ingredients or descriptions of cooking techniques. Example: The cornstarch is there to improve the texture, making the cake lighter and less dense.
- Advantages of the recipe. Example: This chocolate roll is quick to make just 10 minutes to bake and another 15-20 minutes to mix everything.
The main difficulty lies in synchronizing the duration of the voiceover with the video fragment. You need to come up with phrases that fit the length of the given fragment.
After coming up with a phrase, you need to generate the voiceover in elevenlabs.
Creating text and generating voiceover is the most labor-intensive process. On average, it takes me from one to one and a half hours for 1 minute of finished video.
3. Creating subtitles.
The automatic generation of subtitles by YouTube is not suitable, so subtitles need to be created manually. For this, you need to manually add timings to the phrases used in the voiceover.
This takes about 1 hour of work for one video.
In total, it takes me about 15-16 hours of work for one video.
More detailed instructions for each type of work will be provided before the test assignment.
There will be two test assignments. The first one will require making a video fragment lasting about 1 minute. If I am satisfied with the quality of the work, then another fragment of 3-4 minutes. If both tests are successful, we will start working.
Note: watermarks can be applied to test videos or they can be made in low resolution. Test assignments are not paid.
