Fix bugs on the website (Django + React)
Online clothing store. Several bugs have appeared on the site that need to be fixed. Below are the results of our research – what we managed to discover. We will also provide ways to make it easier to start working with the necessary files. There may be more issues and the site will likely need further support.
- Duplicate products in the cart
Problem: When adding a product to the cart, it duplicates instead of increasing the quantity
Cause: Lack of check for existing OrderItem when creating an order
Solution: Add grouping of products by (product, size, color) before creating OrderItem - Database error
Problem: IntegrityError: Duplicate entry ‘beisbolka-oliva-lipuchka’ for key ‘api_product.slug’
Cause: Duplicate slugs in the products table
Solution: Fix duplicates in the database, add unique constraints - The “Buy” button disappeared
Problem: Purchase buttons are not displayed on the frontend
Status: Product API works, the issue is in React components
Solution: Check the browser console for JavaScript errors, fix the frontend
Technical stack:

Frontend: React.js (SPA)
Server: Nginx, Supervisor, Ubuntu
Management: sudo supervisorctl restart django_gunicorn
