Исправить ошибку в разрабатываемом скрипте на Node.JS

Приложение написано на NodeJS v14.16.1 ( уточнил версию неспроста, так как на более старых версиях, приложение может не запускатся );
База данных - MongoDB;
Приложение написано почти полностью, и разбито на модуля;
Оптимизация приложение не требуется, чисто исправления ошибки.

В чем состоит проблема обработки:
Неверно отрабатывают await, а точнее, они вообще не отрабатывают в месте где оно нужно. Код состоит из Promise, и рекурсивных асинхронных функций ( да, муторно, но другого решения я не мог реализовать, все другие решения, оказались не рабочими ). Все что нужно это одну небольшую часть кода, либо верно запихнуть в Promise, либо повозится и исправить работу на async / await
