There is a project written in Java in Intelij Idea. The project uses the Mariadb database, which is connected via the URL (SSH tunnel), the bd is located on the Raspberry Pi, the connection with the Raspberry Pi works correctly. Tests connection in Intelij Idea passes successfully, the console in the development environment works as well, the data can be entered into the table from the console. However, when the application is launched with the user’s database ‘root’@’localhost’ comes the exception – java.sql.SQLException: Access denied for user ‘root’@’localhost’ (using password: YES).
When you start the application with a user bd - 'root'@'%' I get the error - "java.sql.SQLException: Client does not support authentication protocol requested by server. plugin type was = 'sha256_password'
To change the user’s plugin to “sha256_password” is not possible, creating a new user with another plugin is also not out. All bd users have a plug-in "mysql_native_password"
This mistake must be corrected.
