Migration of website from DLE to WordPress
Project goal:
Transfer static pages and site structure from vectornews.net on DLE to a new WordPress platform using the JNews template.
Source materials:
- Old site: https://www.vectornews.net/
- New WordPress template: https://snov.online/ (JNews)
Destination platform: WordPress (latest stable version)
- Transfer type: only static pages + structure
- Builder: only Gutenberg (without Elementor or other visual builders)

Transfer requirements:
- Transfer all page content: headers, text, images, attachments, banners.
- Page layout must be done only with Gutenberg.
- Preserve URLs
- Role distribution within admin panel with access restrictions
- Create menus (Footer, main).
- Define rules for content placement according to (categories and elements) where based on page structure, tags or shortcodes from chunks will automatically place the necessary content into blocks.
Navigation and URLs:
- Recreate the main site menu with a similar structure.
- All URLs must be SEO-friendly and fully replicate the original:
o /exclusive/
o /interview/
o etc.
- Enable support for human-readable links (Permalinks): site.com/page-name
Template cleanup:
- Clean the JNews template:
o Remove demo content, posts, categories, pages
o Disable unused features (e.g., demo modules or WooCommerce if not needed)
- Remove/disable all plugins not used in the project
- Check functionality of active plugins and provide usage recommendations
- Ensure the site fully complies with YoastSeo standards and functions with it.
Preparation for auto-generation:
- Prepare a template for automatic content filling by roles (in the future):
o Category and tag structure
o Compatibility with Gutenberg and ACF (if needed)
Verification:
- Check:
o All pages open correctly
o Layout and styling match the template
o Menu works, links are correct
o Template contains no junk and is not overloaded with unnecessary elements
Restrictions:
- Using Elementor or any other visual builders is prohibited
- All blocks — only built-in or extended Gutenberg blocks
- If possible, avoid using third-party plugins (only ACF is allowed if truly necessary)
