Добрый день. есть опыт в миграции. надо понимать какой функционал необходим.
надо убедиться что в 9ке есть нужное, а дальше пишем миграцию контента. нужно проапдейтить тему. мигрировать можно и руками текста с картинками.
все зависит от текущего функционала.

вопрос не в целе и желаниях, а том, что с 7 на 9 обычном +/- обновлением не перейти. Это новая разработка)
А так, куча всего - wp, modx, october и т.д. -
не пугайте человека почем зря. уже в 8ке был специально написан функционал для миграции даже с 6ки. Migration API называется.
