Straight to the point — here is the structure I propose. Please check if it matches how you manage the project:
Three databases:
1. "Works" — the main one. Fields: name, direction (finishing / engineering / facade / landscaping), stage, responsible, contractor, start date, end date, duration, status, priority, % completion, dependency "after which work."
2. "Directions" — to group works and each direction shows its aggregated percentage.
3. "Performers / contractors" — connection with works to see the workload of each.
Key formulas:
- % completion of the direction is calculated automatically through rollup from works, nothing is manually entered;
- "days to deadline" + auto-highlighting of overdue tasks;
- "critical path" indicator: work whose delay affects the subsequent ones in the chain of dependencies.
Presentation: Timeline (by directions, with dependencies), Board by statuses, Calendar for the week, separate filtered pages for each performer (so that a person opens and sees only their own), Dashboard for you — overdue tasks, the next 7 days, contractor workload, overall percentage for the project.
What this means in practice: after filling in the dates, progress on the project is calculated automatically, rather than being rewritten manually every week.
