I carefully read your technical specification. I have worked with similar tasks — setting up e-commerce event tracking through Google Tag Manager in GA4.
What I will do:
• I will check the current implementation of the dataLayer and the logic of data transmission
• I will fix or implement the events view_item, add_to_cart, begin_checkout, and purchase in GA4 format
• I will ensure the transmission of attributes item_id, item_name, item_brand, item_category, price, quantity
• If necessary, I will add JavaScript for correct data pushing into the dataLayer
• I will check the operation of tags in GTM Preview and GA4 DebugView
If the "Buy" button does not have data attributes, product data can be obtained from the page or from OpenCart JS objects.
After completion, I will provide a brief report and show how to check the operation of events.
For an accurate assessment, I need to look at the website and the OpenCart theme.
