Task: advertising a program for Mac, sold on the Gumroad website https://bohdank1.gumroad.com/l/apphub
Context: On September 15, a new version of the operating system, macOS 26 ("Tahoe"), was released. In this version, Apple removed the beloved way to launch applications – "Launchpad" (similar to Start on Windows). The advertised program replaces "Launchpad" by copying it; Unique Selling Proposition – it copies Apple's functionality better than others. It is particularly relevant now, as many users updated to macOS 26 this week and are looking for alternatives.
Ad Budget: $1000. While I am confident in the demand for the program (currently, without any advertising at all, there were 10 sales during the day), it is unknown how effective search advertising will be + what the conversion price will be. Therefore, this Google Ads campaign is experimental. The license for the program costs $10 (one-time purchase); if there are sales – but the conversion price is too high – I can raise the price.
Market: United Kingdom or Canada. The program is available in English, there are enough Mac users in these two countries, but the advertising must be cheaper than in the USA.
It is necessary to gather a semantic core focused on searching for alternatives to Launchpad (launchpad macos 26, macos tahoe launchpad, how to restore launchpad or something similar), to attract the most interested audience that is looking for a solution to the problem right now.
On the Gumroad website, on the program page, there are: a trial version (works without a license for 24 hours, downloads are not tracked) and, in fact, the purchase of the product (license) – for the Gumroad product, events view_item, add_to_cart, purchase are registered. Gumroad data is already linked to my Google Analytics account; Google Analytics is linked to my Google Ads account (empty, there were no previous campaigns), conversion actions "purchase" and "add to cart" have been added (data coming from Gumroad). Ideally, everything should work.
A specialist is needed to check the correctness of the settings, form the semantic core, and launch this advertising campaign.
