Load testing of the BAS (Browser Automation Studio) script and selection of PC configuration

Looking for a systems engineer / DevOps / server hardware specialist to conduct profiling (resource consumption analysis) of a script on BAS and calculate the optimal PC configuration for 24/7 operation.

What needs to be done:

1. Analyze resource consumption of the script:

   • Run the provided BAS script in different modes (for example, 1, 5, 10, 20 threads).

   • Conduct profiling of actual consumption: CPU (Single-core / Multi-core), RAM (memory leak dynamics over a long distance), disk (IOPS / read-write), GPU / iGPU (check if there is a load on the graphics).

   • Identify "bottlenecks" and calculate the exact resource consumption coefficient per thread.

2. Calculate the necessary power:

   • Provide an accurate hardware calculation for our target number of threads (for example, 50, 80, 100, 150).

   • Provide configuration recommendations: what processor is needed (Consumer or server Xeon/EPYC), RAM size and frequency, SSD requirements (NVMe IOPS), motherboard (VRM for 24/7), and cooling.

3. Prepare a specification for purchasing a PC:

   • Compile a ready-made budget specification of specific components.

Requirements for the performer:

• Understanding the specifics of Browser Automation Studio or browser automation tools (Puppeteer / Selenium / Playwright).

• Experience in conducting benchmarks and load testing (Stress-testing / Profiling).

• Deep understanding of modern hardware (DDR4 vs DDR5, PCIe lanes, VRM, server vs desktop hardware).
