Hello to Michael.
The initial analysis of the site was carried out and ready to start work. However, guaranteeing a green zone for mobile devices is not taken. With current functionality, this is not possible.
I work according to the recommendations from Pagespeed Insight, GTMetrix, Pingdom, Lighthouse. Work with both plugins and code on the server (FTP access is required).
Before work, I keep copies of the files so that they do not interfere with the functionality of the site, after work I write a report on the work done.
In the portfolio (see 
Freelancehunt ) the main tasks relate to the same optimization projects, the main experience is just working with WP.
It is also important before taking the project into work to understand what hosting and tariff plan I will deal with, since. that is important.
