Project Goal:
Create a user-friendly, visually appealing, and scalable P&L (Profit & Loss) Google Sheet for tracking expenses, income, and calculating net profit. The sheet should include a summary dashboard and detailed sheets for data analysis by month and category.
Main Requirements
1. Structure of the Sheet
1. Summary Sheet (Dashboard):
• Display total income, expenses, and net profit by month.
• Breakdown of income and expenses by categories (with visual charts/graphs).
• Ability to select time intervals (e.g., filter by quarters or years).
• Dynamic updates when data is added.
2. Monthly Sheets:
• Sheet names: Month_Year (e.g., January_2025).
• Columns:
• Date: Date of the transaction.
• Transaction Type: Income or expense.
• Category: Selection from a dropdown list (e.g., advertising, salaries, rent, others).
• Description: Brief description of the transaction.
• Amount: Size of income/expense.
• Monthly totals: Total income, expenses, and net profit for the month.
2. Scalability
• Ability to add new sources of income (e.g., new partners).
• Ability to add new expense categories without changing formulas.
• Automatic inclusion of new data in the summary dashboard.
3. Visualization
• Use of charts/graphs to display:
• Dynamics of income and expenses.
• Percentage distribution of expenses by categories.
• Share of each partner in total revenue.
• Color scheme to enhance perception (e.g., green for income, red for expenses).
4. Usability
• Dropdown lists for selecting category and transaction type.
