Palantir (Apache Groovy) to Databricks (Python)

Duties and responsibilities:

 - Collaborate with other software engineering teams, design team, product owners and managers, and business stakeholders to implement new features

 - Converting and refactoring Palantir (Apache Groovy) to Databricks (Python) for data and analytics platform

 - Write reusable, testable, and efficient code

 - Design and implement of low-latency, high-availability, and performant applications

 - Integration of user-facing elements developed by front-end developers with server side logic

 - Implementation of security and data protection

 - Integration of data storage solutions

 - Performance tuning, improvement, balancing, usability, automation

 - Work collaboratively with design team to understand end user requirements to provide technical solutions and for the implementation of new software features

 Qualifications

Required:

 - Previous working experience as a Phython Developer for 5 years

 - Hands on experience with Django, Flask or other Python frameworks

 - Good understanding of server-side templating languages such as Jinja 2, Mako, etc 

 - Basic understanding of front-end technologies, such as JavaScript, HTML5, and CSS3

 - Familiarity with some ORM (Object Relational Mapper) libraries

 - Strong knowledge of SQL

 - Intermediate+ English level

 - Data processing experience

Advantage: 

 - BS/MS degree in Computer Science, Engineering or a related subject 

 - Experience in Logistics sphere

 - Understanding of Apache Groovy programming language

 Project Description: A shipping company, active in ocean and inland freight transportation and associated services, such as supply chain management and port operation. 

 The company has been the largest container ship and supply vessel operator in the world since 1996. The company is based in Copenhagen, Denmark, with subsidiaries and offices across 130 countries. Our team on this project will be responsible for converting and refactoring Palantir (Apache Groovy) to Databricks (Python) for data and analytics platform.
