Love, the main problem with AI coats of arms is not the drawing itself, but the "plastic" in the details: perfect symmetry, overly smooth lines, typical metal sheen. The eye catches onto this, even when the composition seems normal.
What I will essentially do:
— redraw all 4 coats of arms in vector from scratch, rather than fixing raster artifacts — this is the only way to completely remove the "artificiality"
— introduce barely noticeable asymmetry in small elements (tips of ribbons, teeth of the crown) — manual work always has such deviations
— unify all 4 in one style: the same line thickness, common palette, and font for the motto
An idea not mentioned in the brief: if you plan to use the coats of arms for printing or embossing as well — I will immediately create versions with outlines, so you won't have to reprint later. If only for screen use — I will make it simpler and cheaper.
Vector illustration and heraldry are my daily work. Stack: Illustrator + Photoshop for final texture underpainting, if needed.
I work through Safe and in stages: first, I will complete one coat of arms entirely — you will see it in a working example, we approve the style, then I will select the remaining three. I can finish by July 31 with a margin.
