We agreed on finalizing a page on the WordPress site. The deadline was set for Wednesday. The contractor wrote several times that the work was "in progress" and later reported that "everything is ready" and he would show the result.
However, as of Monday of the following week, the result had not been demonstrated.
After that, I checked the site: the history of page revisions in WordPress, the list of created pages, the media library, and the theme files. No changes, new pages, media files, or code edits were found during the work period. The last revision of the page that was supposed to be worked on was made by me earlier.
As a result, no actual signs of work being done on the site were found. Meanwhile, the contractor reported for several consecutive days that the work was being done and was almost ready.
The situation led to a loss of time, as well as additional service commission expenses, which are unlikely to be refunded.
I recommend future clients to think thoroughly before working with this individual.
