1. General requirements
- Implement the ready layout on WordPress
- IMPORTANT: The layout is already ready (HTML + SCSS with BEM methodology). It is necessary to preserve the entire existing structure of classes, SCSS files, and BEM naming without changes
- Implementation as a custom theme, without using builders (Elementor, WPBakery, etc.) and third-party themes
- Support for the latest version of WordPress and PHP 8+
- Cross-browser compatibility: Chrome, Firefox, Safari, Edge (latest versions)
2. Theme structure
In /wp-content/themes/ create a separate folder for the theme.
Mandatory files:
style.css(theme description)functions.php(connecting styles and scripts, registering menus, ACF, etc.)index.phpheader.php,footer.phpfront-page.php(main)page.php,single.php,archive.php
The layout must be divided into semantic parts and integrated into templates.
3. Preserving the existing layout
- MANDATORY to preserve the entire SCSS structure as is
- DO NOT rename BEM classes (block__element--modifier)
- DO NOT rewrite styles for Bootstrap, Tailwind, or other frameworks
- Preserve the SCSS → CSS compilation process
- The final styles must be minified (
main.min.css)
4. Connecting CSS and JS
- All styles and scripts should be connected through
functions.php(do not hardcode in templates) - Connect
main.min.css,main.js - Exclude unnecessary libraries, do not use jQuery without necessity
5. Multilingual support
- Implement support for 3 languages through the Polylang or WPML plugin
- Set up a language switcher in the header
- All texts must be translatable through the plugin interface
- URL structure:
/ru/,/en/,/uk/(or as agreed)
6. Content and management (ACF)
Connect the ACF (Advanced Custom Fields) plugin.
Make editable through ACF:
- Headings, texts, buttons
- Images, icons
- Content blocks (Hero, Tariffs, FAQ, Contacts, Prices, etc.)
ACF Options Page for centralized management:
- Create a settings page for managing prices (tariffs)
- Fields:
price_basic,price_pro,price_premium - Prices on all pages should be pulled from these fields (change in one place)
- Settings must be available for each language
7. Feedback forms
- Install and configure Contact Form 7 or an equivalent
- Integrate forms into the existing layout (preserve styles and classes)
- Set up email sending to the administrator
- Add spam protection (reCAPTCHA or honeypot)
- Forms must work in all languages
8. Menu and footer
- Main menu to be implemented via
wp_nav_menu(), editable in the admin panel - Separate menus for each language
- Footer — fully editable (texts, links, social media icons)
9. SEO and meta tags
- Compatibility with SEO plugins (Yoast or RankMath)
- Connect favicon and basic meta tags (title, description, Open Graph)
- Correct header structure (one h1 per page, then h2/h3)
- Support for sitemap.xml and robots.txt
- Set up hreflang for multilingual support
10. Optimization
- CSS and JS minified (already present in the layout — preserve the process)
- Images in WebP, icons in SVG (already implemented — do not break)
- For all images except the first screen, use
loading="lazy" - Connect only necessary fonts, with
font-display: swap
11. Accessibility
- Semantic markup (header, main, footer, section) — already present, preserve
- All interactive elements accessible via keyboard
- Do not remove outline on focus
- All images have alt attributes, use aria-* if necessary
12. Testing
- Run the site through W3C Validator (HTML and CSS)
- Check responsiveness and functionality on mobile devices
- Check language switching functionality
- Check form submissions in all languages
- Check compatibility with the SEO plugin
- Check correct display with different texts and content lengths
13. Final delivery
What needs to be provided:
- Ready theme in the form of a .zip archive, installable through the WordPress admin panel
- Export of all ACF settings
- Instructions for the administrator in Russian:
- How to edit content through ACF
- How to update prices (one place for all pages)
- How to edit the menu and footer
- How to add translations through Polylang/WPML
- How to work with feedback forms

- DO NOT REWRITE styles — only integrate into WordPress
